Lockheed wins $1.38 billion F-35 jet contract - Pentagon

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Lockheed Martin Corp is being awarded a $1.38 billion (1.07 billion kilos) defence contract for 130 F-35 Lightning II plane, the Pentagon stated on Friday.

The advance acquisition contract covers long-lead time supplies, elements, elements and work for low-rate preliminary manufacturing of the fighter jets for the Air Drive, Navy, Marine Corps, non-U.S. Division of Defence individuals and overseas army gross sales clients, the Pentagon stated in a press release.
